11+ English Comprehension PEEL paragraph
Learn how to structure the harder written questions in comprehension
Service Description
The hardest questions often ask how an author creates an atmosphere, creates tension or presents a certain setting. These questions ask students to comment on word choice, figurative language techniques and structure. Schools often teach rigid structures but the reality is these quesitons needs more nuance. In this masterclass we look closely at a prose passage and a poem and respond to the use of language. The guided approach will give confidence to your child not only in articulating their ideas clearly and incisively but also help them further understand how figurative language techniques and author's choices create effects.
